Health Clinics

Quality health services are dispensed freely through five permanent health centers located in Orissa and Bengal. All the centers are equipped to provide emergency care, regular check-ups and prescription services and are staffed with well qualified doctors and pharmacists. Some centers also have lab-test facilities on site. These HIH-sponsored clinics provide critical healthcare in regions of desperate need and support is needed to expand these centers.

Mobile Dental Clinic
Started in 2003, to serve underprivileged living in remote villages, it has already served more than 10,000 patients. The Mobile clinic is fully air-conditioned and is equipped with a complete dental chair set-up, a small operating table for minor surgery and all the ancillary support systems.

Medical Outreach
Doctors and staff members from the, HIH sponsored, Balighai Hariharananda Charitable Health Center visits the local village of Pentakota near Puri every two weeks to conduct special health check ups and general health education. Periodic medical camps are held in all surrounding local schools.

Ambulance Service
Started in 2000, it provides free transportation to local hospitals for the needy. Assists during emergencies for transfer of accident victims to nearby medical centers.
